We are a family of wine lovers which led us to Stan’s dream of planting a vineyard.  Our first vines, Zinfandel and Syrah, were planted in January of 2009 with the anticipation of the day we could begin turning them into wine.  We added to our varietals by planting Tempranillo, Grenache, and Mourvèdre in 2013.  It was a family effort and all were excited to be a part of this new adventure.  While we harvested grapes, and made wine, in those first years, it wasn’t until the 2013 harvest that those first vines produced mature enough grapes with which to produce a quality wine. We are excited to offer those now and look forward to adding the other varietals soon.

Wine Makers

In the first few years, Stan Nelson was the sole wine maker.  It didn’t take long, however, for son-in-law, Josh Allen, to join Stan in the love of wine making.  He became very passionate and began to learn all he could.  That passion led to an outstanding knowledge of vine management and of various wine making processes.  Needless to say, Josh is a valuable asset to Seven Meadows Vineyard, and he and Stan make a great team.

Merrie Nelson handles the day to day business while lending support wherever needed in the winery.  Candace Allen is also hands on wherever there’s a need in the winery while handling most of the wine sales.  Both share in the passion that has created Seven Meadows Vineyard.
